With a carefree laugh she rushed for the water. As soon as her feet hit the waves she let out a little sound of surprise at just how cold the water was. "HOLY HELL!" She slowed down a bit then and moved more slowly into the water, the look on her face one of complete shock. "Oh my God! This is cold!" She knew if she didn't just jump right in it would take her forever, so with a deep breate she took the leap, diving down under the waves to completly submerge herself. She came back up to the surface sputtering and then climbed up onto her board and started to paddle out to find herself a wave.

Natalie laughed along with her and jumped in with out hesitation. Her skin was probably just as cold as the water.
"No, it's warm," she said with an eye roll. "This is Washington, not Mexico," she said with a laugh. She felt the water pulling in, and she straddled the surf board and turned around. "Hurry up!" she said, and paddled out at human speed.

She applied herself to paddeling out to catch up with Nat, trying not to let her teeth chatter too much. It was cold, no doubt about it. But it was worth it. She knew the exertion would soon warm her, and didn't think it overly odd that Natalie didn't seem to mind, after all the other girl had lived her for a while right?
Her eyes constantly scanned the surf watching for a good wave.

Natalie made it out to where she knew would be far enough, and turned around to look at Anna. "Hurry up, slow poke!" she said with a laugh. She looked behind her and could already see the wave forming in the distance.

Anna stuck her tongue out at Natalie, but put on a burst of speed to catch up. She was beyond exhilerated. It didn't get much better than this. She came up beside Natalie and sat up, straddling the board and kept her eyes focused on the horizon, watching for the perfect wave. She could see the swells starting and felt her heart speed up with excitement, her cheeks flushed and she looked back to Natalie with a little squee of anticipation.

Natalie let out a booming laugh. "You look like a chihuahua." she giggled, her eyes looking over at the wave. She turned around on her board, facing away from it. "Ever been surfing before?" she asked in the last minute they had before the wave would get there. "If not, then don't worry. I'll save you if you start to drown." she teased and looked behind her again. Almost time.

Laughing she let out a pipsqueak of a bark. "Yo quero Taco Bell!" She snorted at the comment about surfing. "I was raised on the beaches of Miami. Or course I know how to surf. But don't worry I swim like a fish so when you try to swallow the ocean I will drag you out." She turned her board and set herself up for the wave, her body tensing in anticipation.

She laughed as the wave came. "You won't have to worry about me. I can hold my breath for a very long time." she said, positioning herself for the wave. "Got butterflies in your stomach yet?" she asked as she watched the wave come toward her.

Butterflies? She had a whole hornet's nest swimming around in her stomach, but d**ned if she would let on. "Don't worry about me, just stay on your board." She watched the wave coming, her ams tensing, ready to pull herself upright and ride this wave. "I am so ready!"

Natalie laughed, and the wave picked her up, board and all. She stood up with perfect balance, and swerved to board around. She didn't do any tricks; she didn't want to show off too much.

As the wave came in, Anna was ready. She got to her feet and stayed a bit hunched, trying to find the balance of the board. Moving forward a bit she stood up, looking over to Nat with a grin. Anna hadn't been lying when she said she knew how to surf, but she sure as anythign wouldn't be out doing any tricks. She could stay on the board pretty well and knew when it was time to jump, but don't ask for anymore more.
Anna enjoyed the ride, up until she moved a little too much and lost her balance. Down she went, letting the wave wash over her head before pushing up to the surface, sputtering and laughing. She hoisted herself back up onto the board and watched Nat. Why in the world would anyone go to school when they could spend their lives at the beach?

Natalie let out a loud guffaw at Anna took the spill, while she stayed planted on her board. She let the wave pull her onto the sand where she steppe doff of her board and onto the ground. "That was exhilarating." she said, excitement radiating from her.

Glowing with the excitement of it all, Anna dragged herself and her board up onto the beach. "Do you guys ever come out here and camp on the beach?" Even though it wasn't allowed her group would still do it, hanging out under one of the piers. It was hot enough in Florida that they didn't bon fires or anything like that so it was easier to not get caught.
Raking the wet hair back from her face she closed her eyes and turned her face up towards the hiding sun. "The only thing that could have made the day better would have been if the sun had made an appearance."

Natalie shook her head, "Actually, this is the first time I have ever been down here, so I wouldn't know." she said, picking up her board from the sand. "And I prefer it when the sun is covered," she said, looking up at the clouds. "I burn very easily," she said with a laugh.

She grabbed up her board and headed back out into the water, eager for another taste. Strolling out into the surf, humming Kokomo under her breath. Her thoughts focused inwards on all the times she had done this same thing in the past, only with a different group of people. As long as they didn't get busted, this would be a perfect day. "Maybe we should get some of your friends together and see if we can get away with a night of camping on the beach. Its a great way to spend a night."
