Before she could answer about her views on vampires she watched the other girl leave the room. She felt the familiar prickle of excitement as she tried to calmly put the book back into her purse. Waiting another minute or so she adopted a look of discomfort and raised her hand. When the teacher acknowledged her she asked to be excused to go to the restroom. When the teacher told her she would have to wait till Natalie came back, she whined a bit. "But...its a GIRL problem."
As she walked down the hallways heading towards the back of the school she let loose with a grin that few ever got to see. "And that's the way it's done."
When she reached the back of the school she glanced around looking for Natalie and escape.

Natalie had hoisted herself into one of the trees. The forest came right up to the back of the school, so all she had to do was walk a few yards and jump. She crossed her legs and blew a straying piece of hair as she waited for Anna. At least now today wouldn't drawl out as it did other days.
She saw Anna walk up and look around, and Natalie smiled. "Ahoy, there Matey!" she said with a giggle, and jumped down from the branch she had roosted on, landing on the balls of her feet with only a dull thud. She walked up to Anna and wrapped her arm around her shoulders, pulling her toward the tree line. "If you don't want to get caught by Chief Swan, I suggest we make our getaway from in there," she said, motioning with her hand toward the forest. "He tends to make his rounds about this time,"

She couldn't help the giddy laugh that bubbled up, even though she clapped a hand over her mouth to try and stiffle the sound. "Come on let's go!" Not even minding the other girl's arm over her shoulders, she ducked down and started running towards the trees. The last thing she needed was another lecture from her mom.
Once safely in the cover of the trees she came to a stop, her eyes alight with mischeif. "So what now, Chochise?"

Natalie trotted behind her quietly, smiling brightly at her enthusiasm. She laughed softly, coming to a stop right next to her. "I'm Chochise, if you will be Philis." she said with another louder laugh.
"Well, are you wanting to do something outdoors? Because we can stop by my house and gather up a few surfboards." she said with a smile, pointing with her thumb behind her. "The waves down in La Push are very righteous." she said, lifting her pinky to join her thumb, and twisting her wrist back in forth in the common surfer motion.

She blinked turning to look at the girl in shock. "Your s**tting me! The waves in Florida are crap unless there is a storm!" All of a sudden Forks was looking much better. She didn't even care that the weather sucked. "Let's go girlfriend! Do you live far?" She didn't really relish a long walk in the rain but anything was preferable to sitting in school.

Natalie gave a joyful chuckle. "I ain't nutsting no one, Sweet thang." she said with an amused smile.
She leaned back against a tree. "I'll tell you what. See that path right there?" she said, pointing behind Anna. "Follow it until you come to the road. I'll be waiting there to pick you up." she said.

((LOL Love how the board changed my words.... *giggle*))
She looked at the path, one brow arched in question. "If my friends could see me now." She was a little nervous about traipesing through the woods, but hell what could happen to her? "Alright, but if you just messing with me I'm gonna be pissed." She got a sudden image of standing by the road looking like a fool while people drove by, pointing and laughing at her as she stood waiting for someone who wasn't going to show.

Natalie held up her hands in defense. "No messing intended." she said and pushed away from the tree. "I'll be the one in yellow. You can't miss me." she said over her shoulder, casually walking back toward the school.
She made it to the parking lot without difficulty, and veered off to her yellow convertible, the hood down. She dug her keys from her jean pocket, and slipped into the driver seat. She started the car softly, and pulled out onto the road. Soon, she was waiting at the spot she intended. Her extra sensitive eyes could already see her walking through the trees, even if Anna couldn't even see the road.

Walking was certainly preferable to just standing. She moved carefully along the path, half expecting something to jump out at her. But when she got to the road all she could do was just stand there a moment, her jaw unhinged as she looked that bright yellow car. "OH SWEET!" Her mom hadn't even let her get a license.
"Nat, I think you are my new best friend." She threw back her head and let out a laugh of pure excitement. Yes, Forks was definately looking up.

Natalie laughed along with her. "Of course I'm your new best friend. I wouldn't have settled with anything less." she said, sending a wink Anna's way. She put the car in gear, and with a sly smile, she ripped out into the road, heading down to her apartment.
When they had entered the highway, their hair blowing in the wind, natalie looked over to Anna. "Like you heard before, I couldn't help but notice that nice peice of literature you had been reading." she said with a smile, taking her eyes off from the road to look at Anna.

Laughing, a rare thing for Anna, she turned a brilliant smile Natalie's way. "I just love the Anita Blake series. I like the fact that they don't make the vampires out as all super nasty and evil. They are just like every day people...well with the exception of Jean Claude and Asher, they are just yummy." She blushed as she said it, ducking her head. She knew it was stupid to be crushing on a mythological creature, let alone one in a completely make believe story.

Natalie felt a smile growing on her face. "So. Do you see vampires the way Anita does?" she asked, "Or do you really think they are the blood sucking monsters from myth and legend. Like Dracula?" she said with a laugh. Dracula. She had no idea how Bram Stoker came up with that one.
But Natalie smiled. "Don't worry. I happen to think all male vampires are very handsome." She didn't need to tell her that it was something all vamps came with, to pull in their prey...

She shrugged a bit, embarassed by her admission. "I don't know. It all depends on the book I guess. I think they are dangerous but thats part of the appeal in my mind. I really think that women want most what they shouldn't have." That little tidbit made her think of her mom and all the really horrible men she dated. Always the bad boys, the hangers on, the ones that took until there was nothing else to take. "I guess I just want a boy that has that...edge." How she missed Angel, his blue eyes, his crooked smile and his latest escapade. She was pretty sure that he already had himself another girl by now.
"As for Dracula...what a horrible make on a legend. Brahm Stoker should have been sued for copyright infringment. Vlad Dracule was anything but a vampire, but at least it made for interesting reading. I just get a kick out of the whole super natural stuff, its interesting, more interesting than my life anyway." There she went again. Talking when she should just shut up. What was it about Nat that made her rattle on like this? Quick! Time for subject change.
"Why do you ask? Got a thing for vampires yourself?"

Natalie listened the whole time, an amused smile on her face. "I totally agree with you." and then a loud laugh escaped her lips. "A thing for vampires? I guess you can say that." she said, turning into her apartment parking lot.
She jumped out from the car gracefully, "I'll be right back," she said, walking up to her door. Then she turned around again. "Stay." she said, pointing her finger at Anna. A wide smile grew on her face before she turned back around, unlocked her door, and stepped in.

At the little stay command, Anna just couldn't help it. With a wide grin she let out a bard that a chihauhua would have been proud of. She was impressed, Anna hadn't figured she would find a kindred spirit in Forks. As she waited in the car, she messed around with the cars radio looking for a station that would suit her mood. She didn't think her day could get any better.
