Svet bit the inside of her lip as she looked at the guys and she shook her head, not really believing what she was hearing. "Just shocked I guess." She shrugged and then ducked her head, pulling him along behind her. She'd remember to wear her hat the next day. Once inside the safety of the back of the classroom she sat down and folded her arms on the desk, turning to look at him with a tiny smile.

He followed close behind her, holding her hand and simply smiled softly. He was proud to be with her. Sitting beside her, he propped his elbow up with his head in his hand and smiled back to her. "See...no harm done. So what if they look at you now..you're easy on the eyes and...quite fascinating."

Svet rolled her eyes at him. "So you say." She caught a few girls getting an eyeful and rolled her eyes. "You've got your share of admirers too, you know. Your spunk radiates like uranium." She chuckled lightly and leaned back in her seat like she was stretching.
"And although this is all quite flattering, I'm pretty sure I prefer not being noticed."

He scoffed as if he didn't believe her. "Oh whatever!" He truly could not understand how the woman could not see that she had completely blown him away and if she had given any of the humans half a chance they too would be following her around like puppies.
"Ok, change of subject. I know you'll ace history so...I may need a tutor." He grinned with dimples.

Svet rolled her eyes at him as he scoffed. She looked down at her thumbs and shifted in her seat as she felt eyes on her, again. It was just easier being unnoticed. She could do whatever she wanted and watch or observe and almost be herself when no one was looking. But now that people had seen her and noticed her, they would be paying more attention so she would have to work even harder at staying slow and moving.
She looked back at him and rolled his eyes. "I know Russian history, and I doubt Fork's High School will really delve into that sort of thing." She reached out and patted him on the cheek, mostly just to cover the dimple because it was so cute she could barely stand it. "But I'll do what I can."

He leaned his cheek into her hand and closed his eyes for a moment, relishing her public display of affection. He was sure that she hadn't done it very often.
When the teacher moved to the front to start the class, he let his eyes linger on the man for a moment but could not help the stray glance and grin in Svet's direction.

When he leaned into her hand she had to bite her lip to stop the urge to kiss him. She was pretty sure those that were still looking at them would gawk, and Svet hated gawking. She was glad when the teacher came in because that meant no one could look at her. She took her had from Zane's cheek, her eyes widened when she realized her thumb had been stroking his bottom lip without her having any idea that was happen.
She folded her hands on her lap and looked at the white board at the front of class.

Torture, sheer torture. Zane may have looked as if he were listening to the teacher but instead was finding it difficult to even look in the man's direction. He wanted so much just to at least look at Svet, perhaps talk, learn more about her..kiss those oh so kissable lips. He cut his eyes to her and sighed softly, resting his head on his hand again. He wished he could read her thoughts like Edward. That would be such a cool talent. Whispering softly, so that only she could hear, barely let his lips move. "Let's ditch..this is killing me."

After a while of pointless staring she had removed a note book from her book and began to take notes, righting in her first language because it was easier, she kept stealing glances at Zane, her hand had a mind of its own and started to draw him on the corner of the page. She glanced down at it and ripped the corner with the half finished drawing off and she tore it up into little bits and then balled it up. She let out a small sigh and went back to taking notes.
After a little while, that got excessively boring so she turned the page and began writing out the words that went with the music in her head. It was a marginally happier song than any other she had written before and she was pleased at herself for writing such a thing. She glanced up at him as he spoke and she then shook her head infinitesimally, "Now, now. This is something we just have to do." She said quickly, pursing her lips slightly as she tried to stop from laughing at his expression.

Giving up, he put his head on his desk with a sigh. "Kill me now, let me die." He rolled his eyes back to the teacher and pretended to listen for the remainder of the class even though his thoughts were elsewhere.
The next two classes were almost identical. The only consolation were the few minutes between classes in which Zane was able to sneak two quick kisses and hold her hand as they walked through the hallway. Now, he was counting the minutes until lunch.

The classes were boring as she knew both separate lessons better than the teachers. She had, however, finished her new song, complete with a detailed music sheet she had drawn herself. She smiled smugly to herself as they sat in whatever class it was. She couldn't recall it for the life of her but that didn't matter, she was smug at the fact she finished it without tipping off to Zane what it was. She had done her job at making it look like she was taking notes.
She sat back in the seat and looked at the three pages of composition and was tempted to shred them up. If he happened to get a hold of the lyrics, he wouldn't know it was a song because she had written them in Russian, but a music sheet was a music sheet. There would be no way to hide them.
Then again, she might forget a crucial note, or a quarter note, turn a whole note into a half or an eighth into a sixteenth. And that would completely alter and ruin the entire thing. She let out a small sigh and fit the three pages of music and two pages of lyrics into her notebook and stored that into her bag. She smiled slightly at Zane as the bell rang for lunch.

Zane looked every bit as human as a number of the other students with his cheek crammed into his palm. His golden eyes were half lidded and he looked as if he might drool at any moment. He even fained sleeping as the elderly woman droned on and on about calculus. How much could one woman possibly say about numbers?
She seemed not to notice him so he would rather close his eyes. If he could sleep he could say that he could do this in his sleep..even when he was alive he was a wiz at all kinds of math. Perhaps that had a lot to do with his musical abilities.
The bell brought him from his coma-like state and he grinned to Svet suddenly as if someone had given him a caffeine shot. "Lunch!"
Jumping to his feet, he waited for her to gather her things before taking her by the hand and pulling her outside. Thick clouds blanketed the sky and a light mist made it almost look foggy. He'd be d**ned if he sat in a crowded lunchroom with a bunch of mortal blood-bags when he could be alone in the Mustang with Svet for very near an hour.

She grinned as he seemed to 'awaken', but she took her time gathering her things together and when they were finally all stored away she stood and hung her bag around her shoulders and took his hand.
She followed behind him in the hallway, because where ever he was taking her, he seemed completely dead set on it. She grinned a little and picked up her pace slightly so she was walking beside him. She slid her arm around his waist and put her head on his shoulder. "See that wasn't too, too bad now was it?" She asked with a small smile as the mustang in the parking lot came into view.

Rain walked out of her class it was so boring. At least the next class she had it was going to be with Svet so it would be so much better. She skipped happily to lunch and saw Svet with a guy who wasn't Rylyn. Rain just shrugged her shoulders and headed toward them. When she was close enough for Svet to hear she said "can I take off my sunglasses they are bugging me" then she smelt that the guy was a vampire.

Svet looked up and smiled at Rain as she came closer to them. She looked between Zane and Rain and nodded to her for a moment and then turned to Zane and whispered in his ear. "Don't look into her eyes.
When she was sure he understood, and wouldn't look into her eyes, she looked back at Rain, "You can take them off now."
