He let her snatch the keys without an assault to her lips this time and grinned as she moved to the window.
Should have known she'd try to avoid the rest of them.
He watched her disappear out of it and moved quickly to join her, thudding softly beside her.
"You know, only cowards take the back way"
He nudged her with his hip like she had nudged him before to let her know he was joking.
There was something about her that seemed to stand out this morning..something different. Almost...radiant.

She narrowed her eyes at him and then shrugged. "I think of it as a strategic way to prolong the inevitable. Excuse me for wanting to enjoy some alone time with you," she told him sardonically. She leaned up and kissed him on the lips lightly to know she was only kidding, a little, and then pulled him back to the car, enjoying what she had.

He smiled, enjoying the kiss and then was easily led back to the car.
"Why don't we ditch again today?" he suggested as he slid down into the supple leather seats.
"I mean..what's the worse that can happen?"
He grinned until his dimples shown, a sparkle in his eye. "Cuz...I wanna be alone with you too."

Svet smiled slightly at him as she sat down, shutting the door behind her, she folded her hands down at her lap and then pursed her lips at him. "We can't skip again because our families will lynch us. And I'm pretty sure if its a vampire doing it, it will by unpleasant." She said with a small smile. "And we have to go to school someday." She said leaning back in the seat she played with the hem of her shirt.

He smirked with a sigh and reached to take her hand, lacing her fingers in his.
He brought her hand to his lips and kissed her fingers lightly.
"Fine.." he kissed them again. "if we have to."
He let their hands drop to the seat and acted as if he were pouting. After a few moments, he peeked to her with one eye closed to see if it was working.

Svet smiled when he kissed her fingers and when he started pouting she thought she would lose it. He was absolutely the most adorable thing she had ever seen before. And she'd been watching Nessie grow up for the past month. Svet bit into her lip as he continued pouting. When he opened an eye, however, she glared at him.
"Nice try young man. But it won't work." She told him as she started the car to pull out backwards. "We are going to school and you are going to like it."

He smirked but then grinned.
"Well yes mam, I guess you told me huh?...so...you gonna act like my girlfriend?"
A brow rose as he waited for her answer. School might be bearable if she were his girlfriend.

Svet bit her lip slightly as she looked sideways at him as she drove to the school. She looked back at the rode and then back at him, thinking it over. She nodded.
"That doesn't mean I'm going to do your work for you. Or put up with any of your crap." She said pointing a finger at him.

He could not help but grin like a cat.
"So that's a yes? d**n Awesome!" He looked her over as she drove, still admiring the way she seemed to look more alive and vibrant. Perhaps she had a spell over him?
Whatever it was..he liked it. A lot.

Svet broke into a grin at his enthusiasm. It felt strange, grinning so much, her face muscles weren't used to it even if she was a vampire. She glanced at him sideways and saw the grin on his face and she laughed lightly.
"I think your face will get stuck like that if you don't stop," she told him seriously as she pulled the vehicle into a parking spot. She put it in park and shut off the engine, although she already missed the rumble of the car she turned her shoulders to face him. "We aren't going to skip today, and we're actually gonna act human, alright? No sneaking off into the janitors closet or running into the woods, alright?"

He laughed softly at her warning. "Hey, if I get stuck grinning all the better. The world will wonder what I'm always up to."
He got out of the car and hurried at a human's pace around to open the door for her.
"Ok, no skipping but not promising anything as far as the janitor's closet goes."
He held out his hand to help her out, already a few heads had turned at the car and the new student with the hot chick.

Svet rolled her eyes but didn't argue at him opening the door for her. She took his hand and stepped out of the car, fixing her shirt she looked around seeing the eyes of the students focus on the two of them she looked at him, almost pleading with him for them to hurry up and get out of there.

"Relax kitten, they're just jealous of me...arrvin' to school with such a babe who drives a b**chin' car."
He carried both of their bags over his free arm.

Svet half smiled and looked away, and then down at her feet as they started walking towards the school. She wasn't sure if she liked being seen over being invisible. She bit into her lip and looked up at Zane, wishing she had half of his confidence when it came to that. "They might just be jealous of me, being with you..." She trailed off as her shoulders lifted and dropped.

He shook his head as he held the door open for her.
"Nope, don't you see them?"
He nodded ahead as a group of Senior guys looked her way and then mumbled to each other with grins. It was obvious they were talking about the girl who had just walked in with the new kid.
Yeah, I think I have a class with her.
One of them said, thinking he was actually whispering. He had no idea vampires were close enough to hear everything.
