He answered with a nod of his head and a wink as he strolled to the teacher's desk, new class assignment in hand. After making his acquaintance with Mr. Byrd, he strolled confidently to the back of the room and slid gracefully into the seat beside her, successfully ignoring the looks from the rest of the class. "Hey stranger. This seat taken?" His own voice was just above a whisper, leaving the humans to wonder about the quiet dialog.

"No, stalker. It isn't. If you promise to keep to your side of the desk, I'm sure I won't have to involve my attorney." She whispered back leaning close so her lips barely brushed his ear as she spoke. She leaned back and gave the girl that was looking at her a pointed glare and it was obvious the girl didn't recognize her.
Svet rolled her eyes and picked up her pencil again, doing the homework the teacher was assigning that moment.

He could not help but grin as he leaned to her as she had done him. His breath would have been cool on her neck if she had been human but as it was, he was sure it was quite warm. "I bet my attorney can beat up your attorney." With that he leaned back, sitting upright in his seat as the model student should and copied the text to be studied. He could not help the crooked grin however, and it showed at the corners of his lips.

Svet felt her grin returning and she looked at him from the corner of her eye at his display and she couldn't help the tight laughter that bubbled up from his posture. She leaned in again, "how much are you willing to pay to lose?" Svet asked as she returned to her seat. She finished her worked, signed and dated it. She had to use her full name because the teacher wouldn't know who 'Svet' was. She scratched out Svetlana Gordeyeva and folded up the work and shut it in her text book, she shot a small yet smug smile at Zane.

Zane nearly choked on subdued laughter at her comment. The thought of Kaleb actually loosing a fist fight with another attorney would be something he would pay to see.
Glancing toward the paper, he noted her full name and decided that the girl absolutely had to be telling the truth about Russia to have a name like that...as if he had really every doubted her. From what he could tell she was no nonsense and he kinda liked it. What he didn't get however was the whole invisible thing. How could anyone not notice her? True, she had taken him off guard but just because she didn't scream vampire with her scent, she was still very interesting to look at..beautiful actually if not for the scowl she wore most times. He guess that it actually had to be a talent..something she was born with to protect herself. Most vampires he knew had some kind of talent..and Kaleb had told him that some powers and talents develop over time. As far as Zane knew he was good at only two things. Pissing people off and skating. He was as agile as a fox on the board, seeing the moves and outcome before he even set wheels to pavement. Maybe it was a gift...maybe it was just something he was interested in. Who knew.
Shoving the homework assignment into his book bag, he looked back to Svet and leaned in again. "You need to get used to seeing me. I copied your schedule verbatim."
He leaned back again, laced his fingers in front of him and grinned at the invisible halo over his head.

Svet rubbed the insides of her eyes again, she needed to keep herself in check before she... Before she did what, exactly? She had no idea and had no urge to find out either. She leaned back in her chair and looked up at the ceiling, watching his profile at the corner of her vision. He was cute, in that in-your-face sort of way that Svetlana realized was pretty much the foundation trait in all boys born between 1891 and 1996--but on him it worked, he was completely gorgeous. She couldn't help but admire his boyish charm even though it was quiet annoying and she was sure that grin had to at least get a little tiring because that was pretty much all she had seen him wearing. She focused her vision back up at the cracking ceiling but looked at him with narrowed eyes at his next words.
"You really are a stalker." She grinned. "I hope you like Child Development. They give out mechanical babies half-way through the semester." She told him, keeping her bluff perfectly. She had no idea if he had actually read his new schedule or if he was more single-minded as she thought. "Have fun bein' a daddy for a while." She grinned ruffling his hair again.

He laughed outloud then causing several heads to turn in his direction. Luckily the teacher was not one of them, the last thing he needed was to be already in trouble. Kaleb would never approve. "You're good but you're not that good. I checked it out. And stalker is just a matter of opinion."
He winked with a sneer as the bell sounded, releasing them from whispering. Standing, he gathered his packpack and waited for her.
"English lit's a real bastard though." He looked down at his schedule checking just in case he had missed the childhood development part, knowing that hadn't. Last thing he wanted to do was take care of a mechanical brat. Kaleb would get a kick out of it.

Svet shrugged. "I get points for trying." She mused trying to stifle her laughter. When the bell rang she stood, grabbed her text book and put it in her bag, and adjusted her shirt in one motion. She looked at him worried for a moment. "I'm sorry. Is stalker offensive? May I use 'obsessively overshadowing?" She asked using finger quotes.
She rolled her eyes, "It's not a bastard when you can read." She responded, trying not to laugh. She pushed her chair into the table and walked back outside, knowing he was 'shadowing' her. "You know, I should be really annoyed at you. You're a little annoying." She said thinking out loud as she walked with her head up. It was almost like dancing, as she made her way through the quad to 'their' next class.

"Stalker works, no sense in being PC about it."
Following her throughout the next two classes, he exchanged quips and cuts with her as best he could without disrupting class. When the bell sounded for lunch, he raised a curious brow.
"So..you eat alone or skip it all together? Cuz I got a car and we can skip out for an hour if you want. There's only so much you can talk about in mixed company."
He looked around at the humans busying themself with human things and noted that the smell coming from the cafeteria was hideous.

The urge to beat her head against the wall was back, but for a different reason. She was...confused maybe? She was definitely enjoying herself, even though having him have her entire schedule was a bit much, it was...comforting, maybe? She didn't have to go through the monotonous routine alone and best of all; he noticed her. It felt good to be recognized as a...person, instead of invisible like usual.
She narrowed her eyes at him. "Like I'm going to let myself be alone with you." She scolded with a shake of her head, but she broke out into a small grin. "But I suppose I can go with you. BUT. I have one condition." She held up one of her fingers and looked at him expectantly. She wasn't going to name her condition until he agreed to go along with it. He probably wouldn't but she was curious to see where he would draw his conclusions at.

He was glad to see that she was considering going with him, though, he was unsure of what in the world her condition might be. By the look in her eye however it was her way or the highway...alone. Narrowing his eyes to her he acted as if he might be thinking about it but then spoke as the grin spread once more.
"What's your condition...wait, before you say..I'm NOT doing anything that might involve me wearing make up or dresses or other wise downplaying my obvious handsome ruggnedness and manly charm."
He canted his head and waited for the condition, but realizing that he probably would do just about anything at this point to be alone with another vampire that was not Kaleb. It didn't hurt that she had a pretty good sense of humor and look like a china doll.

(China doll?!? Xp)
Svet grinned, he was really considering it. She tilted her head to the side as he thought about it, she held completely still as he kept thinking over, taking another moment to look him over without getting caught. When he spoke she focused back on his eyes, a grin spread across her face as she started laughing. "You think..." She giggled, "Oh god... A dress? Really? Is that all that pretty head of yours could come up with?" She asked, shaking her head to rid herself of her laughter. She let out a gust of air, and along with it the rest of her laughter.
"My condition is that I get to drive." She stated simply, her arms folded across her chest and her posture and expression revealed that she meant business.

(lol as in porcelian features not like chinese)
He blinked at her request..her..demand and was actually quiet for a few seconds. Grinning incredulously he shook his head, not in refusal but in disbelief.
"You..you want me to let you drive my brand new Mustang GT? The car that I bought and paid for with my own money that I earned running errands for the Atlanta firm? The car that I hand wash and dry every day weather it rains or not? You want me to just hand you the keys to my most prized possession not knowing if you even know how to drive?"
Without batting another eyelash he shrugged. "Ok, here ya go." He tossed her the keys without hesitation.

Svet had seen the car in the parking lot on her way through the woods and knew it must have been his, ergo she wanted to drive it. Cars have been her passion for the past decade or so, since they finally got interesting. She licked her lips as he named off reasons he was going to say no, but she could hear the smile in his voice. She grinned. "Thanks for telling me how much of a life you don't have." She retorted, she caught the keys out of the air and smiled devilishly at him.
"So...just to lay the ground rules..." She trailed off spinning the ring of keys on her finger. "I can't wreck it, total it, scratch it, ruin the paint, burn the tires, wear down the breaks, or ruin the transmission?" She asked as she walked towards the drivers side of the yummy vehicle. "I think I can keep to a few of those rules..." She said as she unlocked the doors, sliding into the drivers seat like she owned it. She adjusted the seat because she couldn't even reach from where it was because of his long legs. "No laughing." She warned him with a pointed finger.

He follwed her as she laid out her own ground rules. This should be fun. Looking at her over the top of the car before getting in he snarled playfully. Stretching his long legs out along the passenger seat floorboard he shook his head and laughed.
"Not saying a thing...but tell me..what else is there to do in Forks? You're right..I don't have a life here. There's not even a decent skate park closer than Seattle."
He looked to her and the smile faded a little. "Look, I know you think I'm...young but..I've done a lot of growing in the last ten years. Twenty seven ain't exactly kindergarden yah know? Well..considering that we're immortal maybe it might be close but...I only skate to keep myself feeling young at heart...and it's the only thing I'm good at. Oh..and I taught myself how to speak a little German."
The grin that spread then was blinding.
