She laughed loudly and took a step closer to him. "I would be embarrassed." she said, taping him on the nose before he could stop her. "You must have had something go wrong with your brain when you changed if you prefer animal blood over human." she said, a friendly tone. Just a bit longer...

"If keeping to animal blood allows me to stay in one place with my future wife then I will gladly make that sacrifice." He said his eyes narrowed at her when she touched him. They were so close he could feel her presence against his and it set the back of his hair on end. "You cannot feast here."

"Not even a quick snack?" she purred, buying her time. The human was walking back from his truck. A few more seconds...

"Not even a taste." He uttered, his attention was also on the boy and his eyes were on hers, he was alone in the parking lot, but he could here vampires running through the woods. He knew Carlisle would be there, but he didn't know the other sounds specifically.

She smiled. She could hear the vampires as well, but she had everything planned out. She had expected this. Did he think she was oblivious to his little call? She looked over his shoulder to the human, who was almost out of sight from the school. No one would know...
She flashed her eyes back to him at the precise moment, and her eyes flared open widely as she truck him with her paralysis. He wouldn't be able to move for a few minutes. And that was all she needed.
She flew past him, too fast for human eyes to see, and turned the corner around the school, following after the human boy.

Nakuro wondered why she was opening her eyes wider than normal, he didn't feel any different and as she took off he was hot on her heels. "I don't know what you tried to do to me, but powers do not work on me." He said quietly, catching her by the elbows he threw her into the trees, farther away from the human boy who had no idea how close to death he had come. Nakuro followed her into the woods, crouched and ready to fight.

She gaped at him, but then reigned in her surprise. Great. She stood up, and brushed off her dress. "That was a bad idea," she growled, pointing to her attire. "This dress an antique, you know!" she snapped. She coiled to spring. No bother, I don't need my powers to get what I want.

"It was a bad idea when you tried to hunt in our territory." The big one, Emmett grunted as he stepped out into the shadows with Carlisle on his other side.
Nakuro looked at them and then back to her. "Don't look into her eyes." He warned, crouched ready to attack or defend.

She snapped her head in their direction and scowled. She took moment to calculate her chances. The big one looked strong. If she had a chance, then she would have to get to him alone, or avoid him completely. If she could paralyze him, that would be even better. She just needed the smallest second where he would meet her eyes, and that would do it. She kept her gaze on him, waiting for him to look into her eyes.
The other one looked like an easier win, but he would still have some fight in him. The other one, Japanese one, would be a problem. She shouldn't have used her power. It was useless on him, and now they knew.
Her other option would be to leave the school and hunt somewhere else in the small town. If she left peacefully, they may not catch on until she had fed, and then she could leave before they got to her.

"We don't want to hurt you, but this is our home, and we will not tolerate any vampire hunting on our land." Carlisle told her, not looking on her eyes, but her profile, watching her movements. Emmett just had his eyes closed, waiting for an order or a chance to fight, he had been couped up much too long.
Nakuro kept his eyes trained straight on the woman's, if she didn't listen to Carlisle....

She looked from the blonde, to the boy. Her thirst was making her desperate. There were many people in town, but she barely had any common sense now. She smiled, turning her gaze to the supposed leader. "Very well," she said. "Good day,"
With that, she vanished, leaves trailing behind her in the after-draft. She retrieved her parasol, and ran into the woods, running into the deeper part of it. She would wait.

"She won't leave." Emmett said, his tone was happy. Carlisle nodded his head slowly.
"I thank you for being here, Nakuro, we might have gotten here too late." He said touching his hand onto the man's shoulder. " We will keep an eye on her from here on out, you have class to return to." He smiled. Nakuro nodded.
"Remember, don't look into her eyes."

She sat in a tree, brushing the last bit of dirt from her dress. The sun was slowly being covered again by the clouds, so she would have more cover later on.
She smiled. She wasn't always so defiant, but these vampires were presenting her with a challenge. This whole coven as protecting the town, the opposite of their nature, and she was going to get through their defenses. "Ah, Mabel." she sighed, reclining against the tree. "Look what you have gotten yourself into."

Nakuro nodded and the two men left just as quickly as they left, but Emmett took into account the direction she had run off. Carlisle flipped out his phone to contact the rest of the family, to remain on alert. Nakuro returned to the school but he remained outside, on the edge.

Through the thick clouds, her super sensitive eyes could see the outline of the sun. She would wait until the sun reached the center of the sky, noon was what humans now called it. Then she hoped to slip into the city, undetected. She would pray on some street rat or unlucky tourist. She cast another glance at the sun, and then smiled as she looked out into the trees. Soon.
((What an evil little person! I'm so proud.. ))
