It was raining, but when was it not raining in Forks. A small four door sedan pulled up, they were the new family, if you could call them that. A dis functional logger and his kid. Cory stepped from the sedna and looked around, not much, but better than before. Rick, his dad, stepped out of the drivers seat and chuckled
"How ya like Forks?" he asked with a smile. Cory didn't answer, him and his dad were never close. He gathered his gear from the back and went up to his room. The next day was nothing special. Breakfast was a do it yourself job, Cory didn't complain. He packed for school, Rick was out on the hill working. Cory hopped into his clunker, not much, but it ran. He followed his map to school, after getting his schedule he decided to go find his classes, that's when the bell rang, Lunch!

Rain walked to the Cullen's table. Why did she have to be 16 in vampire years and her human years also. She sat down and looked for Nakuro. She couldn't see him. Maybe he hasn't walked toward here yet. She looked at her food and took off her sunglasses. A lot of teachers thought she was blind so they let her keep them on. When she looked up she saw a boy she has never seen before. "OH no not another new kid" she said and then looked around. She noticed that she was sitting by herself and this table was the only one opened.

Nakuro nodded again to Mr. Varner, the teacher kept complaining about his lack of eyecontact from the boy and Nakuro found if very hard to stay in his character Rain had talked him into being. He couldn't believe he agreed to go back to high school, but here he was, pretending to be seventeen years old and a transfer student from Japan. He shook his head at the absurdity of the situation and left the trigonometry class and walked into the lunchroom, the smell of human food burned his nose and he stopped his breathing as he located Rain sitting by herself, looking at the new kid. Nakuro glanced over the boy and then walked over to Rain, smiling at her slightly he sat down, his hands folding on top of the table. "I can't believe I let you talk me into this." He told her quietly.

Rain jumped as Nakuro sat down. "Hey it gets us out of Alice pinching and yelling and all that about the wedding for a few hours. Plus high school is the best years of your life" Rain said sarcastically. "So how was trig?" Rain asked her soon to be husband. "English was boring, I think it's funny how teachers think I'm blind but I answer questions very easily in math" Rain told him as she pushed the food around her plate. She was still looking at the new kid as she was saying this and praying that he doesn't look at her because she probably wouldn't have reacted to her sunglasses as fast as she normally could.

Cory took a few steps into the lunch room and stopped.
"Great, no room" he said quietly to himself as he watched everyone mingling about their daily lives. He made his way with his lunch box over to a few tables but no one seemed to acknowledge him.
"Well, at least the people are just like Oneonta"
Cory looked around and went outside to eat, at least he didn't have to be social for now

"We are lucky she graduated last year or we would not be able to avoid her here either." Nakuro told her with a small smile. "And Mr. Varner was complained to me because I do not look at him throughout the class period." Nakuro then rolled his eyes, following the tilt of her head and eyes he spotted a boy he had never seen before. "Is that the new student? There were several girls in my last class whispering about him." He said slowly, looking at her face for her reaction.
"We should welcome him before the wrong crowd does..."

Rain noticed that the new boy walked outside. She let go of her breath and just kept looking around at all the normal kids. "Finally I'm glad at lunch I can take these off" Rain said to Nakuro. "He always does that and your right about Alice graduating. Yeah let's" Rain said as she picked up her tray and walked over to the trash. She found where the boy was sitting and threw on her sunglasses. She waited for Nakuro before heading over.

Cory sighed and picked up his tray. Two of the less that academic students walked up to him and offered him a handshake
"Sorry Fella's I'm in a rush" he said as he pushed by both of them and threw his trash away. Cory looked around for a moment, not noticing anything odd he walked over to the far end of the school yard and sat down, pulling out his I-pod he took a seat and listened to it

Nakuro hid his smile from her as they walked towards the boy and Nakuro found himself holding his breath as the boy walked up to them. Nakuro shook his hand, hoping not to shock the boy with his cold hand. He gave him a sparing smile. But then he quirked an eyebrow. Had to go? The boy barely even touched his lunch.
Nakuro watched the boy throw his food away and went to the other side of the quad, Nakuro knew by human eyes, he would be to far to see, but Nakuro could see him perfectly and watched with a faintly amused smile as he took out his ipod and turned on his music. "He must be very shy, like Bella used to be." He commented with his hands in his pockets, his palm tingled from the warm human touch.

Cory cranked up his music and closed his eyes, the sound of Aerosmith soon drowned the dull roar of the lunch crowd. He hummed along softly to the music

Cory stood up and checked his planner, his next class was Calculus, joy. He had already taken it back in Oneonta but Forks wanted him to do it again. He decided to get there early and maybe help the teacher out, at least they would be friendly. He dusted himself off and walked toward the door, but two jocks stopped him.
"Wassup new guy, names Eric, football player" said the one waring a letterman jacket.
Cory didn't answer him he just walked by him briskly. The second man stopped Cory.
"Nice I-pod, what kind of music you litsen to?" said the second one, reaching for Cory's I-pod. Cory's free hand snapped out and caught his, twisting it back he pushed the man backward.
"I'm going to class" Cory said as he walked back inside through the lunch crowd

"yeah that's true. And I am so not a guy" Rain said. She left and started to walk calculus. WHen she saw Eric picking on the new kid. THen saw his reflex. "Whoa" she said and walked by Eric. "Leave the new kid alone if you don't you might not want me to know" she said and glared at him as she walked away glaring at them without her sunglasses. Soon all the football players were following her. "dang" she said. "Rain, I love you" Eric said. "Go away" she said.

Cory turned around and noticed the woman who had stepped up on the football kids. He smirked, like he needed help. He pushed the doors open and walked the halls toward the math wing

Nakuro followed behind Rain, trying to his his smile. But when Eric started following them, he stopped and lashed out faster than the human could see and grabbed him lightly by the throat, just enough to scare him and then he moved quickly out of the view of the camera, seething at Eric. "Back off." He hissed, his eyes and expression frightened the boy, snapping out of it.
"Dude what the hell--" But Nakuro was already down the hallway, his expression was humorous as he wrapped his arm around Rain. "Will I always be dealing with damage control?" He teased.

Cory arrived at his math room but the teacher was sick, he had a sub. He sighed and slumped against the wall waiting to be let in. Forks sucked, no one here even looked his way but back in Oneonta at least he had attention. He slipped his bag off and ruffled through it.
