"It's easier sad than done, Edward." She replied her arms folding across her chest. Her head shook back and forth. "I haven't brought up the nerve to ask Alice, but I don't know if I want to know.....I'm just confused and worried about it. What if he moved on? What if he didn't? What if got hurt? What if he's trapped somewhere? I know I still shouldn't....but I care about him. I don't love him and I don't think I want to see him again--" She broke off, stopping her trains of thought abruptly she forced a well placed smile on her face to Edward.
"Thank you for your insight."

"There's nothing wrong with caring for him and worrying if he's alright. It's a natural thing..even for vampires to care for one another. He'll always be part of your family.
If something was wrong with him, Alice would have told me..and she has not so...perhaps you should ask her. And you're welcome Svet."
He flashed a quick smile but it was obvious he was worried about her.

She nodded, and then she shook her head. "I won't ask Alice." She said, quite strongly. "I'll just tell her to stop planning the wedding..." She let out a sigh, rubbing her face. "She'll be mad at me, won't she? Esme will be disappointed and now Rain will have to go through this all by herself--" She stopped feeling guilty again.
"I'm so hopeless."

He shook his head and grinned a crooked grin.
"She won't be mad at you at all, She'll be happy that you realized that you were making a mistake before you made it. But hey..if you had..we have a new vampire lawyer in town..he could have helped you with a quickie divorce."
He tried to lighten the mood and then winked.

Svet snorted slightly. "I've always thought that divorces were the hardest part in the marriage, nothing 'quickie' about it." She barely laughed and then she shook her head. "I doubt I would have done anything if I went through with marrying him, if he ever came back, I would have forced a smile. Or faked my death, either one." She said with a tiny smile to show him she was slightly kidding.

Edward laughed low and rolled his eyes.
"The last thing you want to do is to spend your life pretending."
He shook his head.
"It's good that you've discovered your true feelings Svet. I'll do whatever I can to help you with this."
He looked at her for a moment before smiling.
"Thank you for humoring me, I hope you at least feel better."

"It's something to do..." She countered lamely even though she agreed with him. She looked up at him and smiled. "You're a great friend, Edward, even just talking means a lot. But you don't have to help me, it's my problem."

He shook his head as he walked to the door and opened it.
"No...it's my problem too. You're my family Svet and we stick together."
He shrugged and grinned softly. "Sorry...you're stuck with me."

"It's only your problem because you are making your problem." Svet told him as he walked towards the door and she followed. "I'll keep that in mind." She grinned slipping one arm around him for a small hug.

He paused in the doorway with her and turned the small hug into a warm comforting embrace. With a gleam in his honey eyes he lifted her from her feet and squeezed her but gently and affectionately.
Putting her to her feet, he planted a soft kiss to her forehead and smiled.
"Now...no more guilt..and no more worries."

Svet squeaked slightly as her feet left the ground but she laughed lightly and returned his squeeze with her head on his chest, conveying her gratitude through the embrace. When she was back on her feet she patted the center of his chest. "Yes sir, Mr. Cullen." She grinned up at him before she walked back into the hallway to go and speak with Alice.

Edward leaned in the doorway and watched her as she left. He hoped he had helped. She had seemed in better spirits.
Looking around the room, he let his eyes wash over the possessions that he had not yet moved to the house in the forest.
When his eyes found the journals he gave a small smile to himself. His story was not unlike Svet's at one time but now look at how wonderful his life had become.
Suddenly his longing for Bella overwhelmed and he took out the sleek silver phone to dial her number. Hopefully she would have the phone with her.

Jasper walked around the house trying to dodge Alice's wrath. He saw Edward talking with Svet and he knew why because she was feeling confused, worried and just everything after Rylyn went away. He remembered him saying he wanted to go on a hunt with Alice but Alice didn't go because of a problem with dress number whatever of Rain's. "Hey Svet" he said.

Svet looked up when she saw Jasper coming and she smiled faintly. "Hey Jas." She said quietly. "How are you doing now that Alice will only be busy with one wedding?" She asked with a sad smile.

"a lot better. WAit only one. Is it because Rylyn hasn't came back yet?" Jasper asked her. Alice didn't know where he was like she couldn't see him "Or is it another reason because of course you know that I know how you feel and you feel like you have lost someone who was important to you" he asked not trying to pry
