"Ah." Ted said slowly, she needed a job. He felt slightly guilty because his bills were fed to him by his father, a super rich man who lived on the other side of the continent. Ted just had to pay for food, although that itself left him with little money.
"I think the Newton's outdoors store is hiring because one of their previous employees got turned into a vampire." Ted suggested. "You could try there."

"Newton's Outfitters?" she asked. "Not really what I was hoping for, but it's better than nothing…" she mumbled, finding the article and circling it. "Well, I guess I'll try it." she said, tossing the paper back into her bag. She then opened up the bag of chips in between them, and nibbled on one while she watched the waves. La Push was a beautiful place.
The sun was shining brightly, perfect weather to swim in. She had brought a bathing suit just in case, but she wasn’t sure if getting in the water was what she wanted to do. It would be awkward trying to explain her childish complication to Ted.

"ER, yeah! That's the place." Ted he said as he finished, then he shrugged. "Hey, at least it pays and you don't have to only depends on tips." He said looking back out at the water, hearing her eat a chip he reached out a hand and took one from the bag, slipping it into his mouth he took a swig from the coke. He glanced back at the ocean and then at her.
"Would you like to go swimming?" He asked, seeing her looking at the water.

Kerrigan bit her lip, staring at the waves for a moment before nodding her head. "Sure." she said, tightening up her ponytail and removing her thongs before standing up. She took off her tank top first, and then her shorts, revealing a blue bikini underneath.
"You're a good swimmer, right?" she asked hesitantly, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

Ted smiled, swallowing the rest of his fifth piece of pizza, he took a long drink from the soda, finishing it, he crushed it easily in one hand, setting the crushed can in a bag he had brought just for garbage, he then looked back at her, seeing her pull her shirt over her head.
He adverted his eyes, standing up he removed his own shirt and pants, smoothing out his black swimming trunks out after his clothes were in a rumpled pile on the towel. "One of the best." He responded to her question. "Don't worry, I won't let you drown." He said in what he hoped was a reassuring tone.

Kerrigan nodded numbly, motioning for Ted to lead the way. She wasn't a good swimmer. As a matter of fact, she had never swam at all, considering that she had no idea how. Hopefully they wouldn't go too deep in the water, because then she would have to tell him, and she wasn't one of sharing weaknesses.

Ted's eyebrow lifted slightly at the expression on her face, he couldn't quite put a name on it, but he put the lid on his basket of goodies and then started to walk towards the water, standing so the waves would rush past his angles, judging the speed. He figured the last storm wasn't causing too much damage and there wasn't really that bad of an undertow. So he walked deeper into the water, the water about up to his waist now. He jumped up as a wave came towards him and he floated on top of it. "Yep!" He called to her, "Water's fine!"

Kerrigan hesitated a fraction of a second before walking into the water. She stopped when the water was only slightly above her navel, right next to Ted. The water was only to his waist since he was taller.
Another wave came, and it submerged her up to her shoulders, making her stumble a bit back wards. A frightened expression came onto her face before she steadied herself. God, you're being pathetic, she thought to herself.

Ted grinned, seeing her come into the water next to him. He was about to splash her when another wave came at them. He braced himself for the wave and didn't move, but he saw her frightened expression and he decided differently. "It's alright. These waves are pretty save, both the surface and under current go in the same direction so if you do happen to lose balance and go under, the waves will just wash you up. Not like you have to worry about that. Like I said, you're safe." He told her, hoping he was being reassuring.

Kerrigan let out her held breath. She trusted him, and he did indeed make her feel safe. She would do her best not to worry.
With a smile, Kerrigan brought her hands under the water, and pulled them up, splashing at Ted. Hopefully he couldn't block water as easily as he did pine cones.

He went back to watching the waves roll in, wishing he had a surf board with him, but he didn't regret not having it. He was perfectly fine with just standing in the water. Although he could do for more pieces of pizza.
The water that hit the side of his head caught him by surprise, getting in his eyes and mouth. He rubbed his eyes and spat out the salt water and turned to look at her, thingying an eyebrow and then put his hands underwater. "You are so in trouble." He said with a dark laugh, throwing his hands up from under the water sending a wave at her.

Kerrigan couldn't hold back the laugh the escaped her throat as Ted spit and choked on the salty water. She held her sides as she giggled, watching him look at her. "You are so in trouble." He said, laughing. Kerrigan grinned as she stepped back, the motion slowed by the water.
She had only a short second to close her eyes before a wave of water washed over her. She wiped her eyes and looked at Ted. Glaring, she tackled him football style, hoping to shove him deeper into the waves. Water was fun.

Ted grinned as his splash hit home. He was surprise, however, when she jumped on him. He realized she was trying to shove him backwards. Laughing slightly he just stood his ground, looking at her expectantly. He grinned slightly and splashed her again before he retreated farther, not going into the deeper water yet.

Kerrigan smacked into Ted, stumbling back from the impact. She had no idea he was that strong. She could have been pushing on a wall for all of the success she was having.
Another wave hit her in the face, and she coughed up the nasty tasting water. "Jeez!" she sputtered, wiping her eyes clean. "You could have told me you were stronger than someone on roids." she continued, taking out her pony tail and putting the black band around her wrist. No use tieing up her hair up when it was getting soaked.

"Sorry. I slipped my mind." He said innocently with a shrug of his shoulders. "I didn't hurt you did I?" He asked seeing her perplexed expression, running his fingers through his hair.
