"The sun doesn't burn them. Unfortunately." Ted told her, her laughter burned him slightly. He had figured she would react like this. Ted let out a sigh. Garlic? Did she think she was funny or had she gone insane already?
He glanced back at Roxy. "Those wolves?" He glanced back over at his shoulder. "We are...well one in the same." He said, waiting for the laughter to come. Of course, this he could actually show her, but he wasn't sure if he would. He didn't want to hear her scream directed at him.

"Yeah they are our friends. They aren't that harmful. Just the vampires, those two that you saw the women with the blue eyes is a newborn meaning she was just turned. I don't understand how her eyes are blue and everyone else's has topaz eyes" Roxy explained. "That's why one of the wolves was acting like a dog because inside she is human and she didn't want to harm you. Or I think it was a she a she maybe she was a he" Roxy said as she started to get confused on her words. She looked at Ted for more of an explanation.

Kerrigan's laughter came to an abrupt halt. Th-the wolves? She thought of the sentence in the dirt the wolf had made with it's paw, how it looked to be too intelligent for an animal, how it seemed to be having a silent conversation with the man, how the man had asked it if it had... clothes. Then of how the second wolf had appeared, and the man had vanished, only to appear again when the wolf was gone. Oh, God... So these people were...and those people were....
Kerrigan swallowed loudly as realization hit. She was standing in front of...werewolves, and she had been in front of...vampires. Again her vision became blurred and the trees started to spin. Vampires? Werewolves? How could this have been possible? How can it be possible?
She swayed and took another step to steady herself. "You're a..." she gasped, holding onto a tree for support. What was wrong with her today? She had never even came close to fainting before, and now she was only a width of a hair away. She couldn't finish her sentence, feeling foolish to be even thinking about it, so she went with the next best thing. "You're a wolf?" She squeaked.

"She had blue eyes because of her power." Ted told her glancing over his shoulder he looked back at the girl then, seeing her stumbled and almost faint as she seemed to realize the truth of it all. He stepped forward prepared to catch her if she fainted but then she asked a question. He glanced back at Roxy and then looked back at her and nodded.
"Not all the time, but yes. I can be a wolf." Ted answered her, wondering what exactly was running through her mind, he just hoped she didn't scream.

Kerrigan blinked furiously, shaking her head to clear the stupor. He had confirmed it. He and the other wolf were werewolves.
"Oh." she breathed, her knees shaking slightly. "Well, hell..." she gasped, running her fingers through her hair, her other hand still securely attached to the tree. She started laughing softly, not really sure if it was from the shock, or the fact that everything was as simple as a fairy tale. What else could happen now? Maybe Bigfoot would make his star appearance.
"So, that wolf back there... was a person? And then the other one...?" She asked shakily, gesturing toward the man with her hand at the end of her sentence. She leaned against the trunk of the tree, her hand still knotted in her hair.

Ted watched her and he had to fight the urge to laugh slightly and the sheer awkwardness of this entire situation. He let out a shaky sigh and pointed to himself. "Werewolf." He confirmed. He hoped she didn't ask to see it. It would be even more awkward for him to remove his shorts first and then change. He may not have as much dignity as he had before his first change, but he still had enough to no go parading around naked in front of strangers he had barely met. Not yet any way.
He might regret asking, but that didn't stop him, "Any more questions?"

"Yeah and I am one too" Roxy said nodding proudly. She liked being the wolf even though sometimes she felt like the runt of the family but she was still one. She waited for the girl to answer. "Any way whats your name, I'm Roxy and that's Ted and that guy up there I don't know who he is" Roxy also said.

Kerrigan silently listened to the two talk, her eyes darted from one to the other as they spoke. So, Ted and Roxy, werewolves. Now that was one hell of an occupation.
"Yes, I do have some questions, and, no, I'm not telling you my name." Kerrigan said immediately, letting loose her hold on her hair. She slid down the trunk of the tree and sat on the hard ground, crossing her legs. "Number one," She continued after she was comfortable. "Don't vampires drink blood? If so, why didn't they suck ours? Two; I know you already answered this question, but please, just humor me. How are they in the sunlight? Three; How were you able to change without the full moon? Does silver hurt you? Does garlic hurt vampires? Do they really sleep in coffins? Can they really turn into bats? If I touch them with a cross with it burn them? Don't they have fangs? Shouldn't you have fangs? " Kerrigan said, beginning to rant. She didn't bother numbering all of the questions after three. There were too many.

Ted sat down two, folding his legs he rested his elbows on his knees and hid his smile with one of his hands. "Yes, vampires drink blood, and most of them do drink human blood. But those two vampires back there are apart of a family of like...twenty vampires who refuse to drink human blood and drink animals instead. Their skin like...glitters I guess in the sun. It brings a lot of attention but no it doesn't hurt them. Its just hard to hide. We aren't werewolves in the technical sense. Yes, we can change into wolves. But the real term for us is shapeshifters. We have the ability to change form into an animal and ours happen to be wolves. The entire Quiliete population have shapeshifter blood. Garlic doesn't hurt them, silver doesn't hurt us. Vampires don't sleep. At all. No coffins, no skeletons, no cobwebs. No, they can't turn into bats, and no, crosses don't burn them. They don't have fangs, but they don't really need fangs because their teeth are extremely strong and dangerous. Just like everything else about them. And I will only have fangs if I am in my other form." Ted answered all of her questions in order. He let out a breath and smiled.

Kerrigan's face was blank of all emotion as she listened, only tensing when she heard his comment about twenty other vampires. Sure, they drank animal blood, but that didn't mean that they couldn't drink from humans. What also made her uneasy was the fact that they didn't need fangs to penetrate skin. That meant they were strong, not just their teeth.
After hearing that he was not a real werewolf, even though he called himself so, made her feel a little better. Even though this man- Er, Ted, could turn into a seven foot beast, able to rip her into shreds in seconds, she was surprisingly calm. The fact that he hadn't done her in earlier was reassurance enough that he was safe to be with.
"So, how do you even change into a wolf? Where does all the, er, fur come from?" She asked, her eyebrows raised.

Ted shrugged at her question. "I honestly have no clue where it comes from. Just when I want to change... I just sort of explode into it. And then I just explode back to myself. It's weird, but it doesn't hurt. At least not anymore." He told her, catching a caterpillar on his finger as it walked through the bracken he raised the finger it was on up from the ground and let the bug crawl over his fingers.

Kerrigan wrinkled her nose at the small, squishy looking bug, but continued with her interrogation.
"So if you explode, then, what happens to your clothes?" Kerrigan asked, a smirk on her face and her eyebrow raised in amusement. She had a pretty good idea what really did happen, but she asked none the less. She was starting to have fun now, the shock being passed; or maybe it was fun because of the shock? Who knew. Either way, she was surprisingly enjoying the conversation.

Ted put the bug down and let it crawl away and he ran a hand through his shaggy hair. "They...well they get ruined. And when we changed back...we're naked." Ted blushed a little as he looked down at his meager clothing. The pair of basketball shorts was all he was wearing and they were extra big so just in case he changed without taking them off, like before.

Kerrigan chuckled quietly at the red blush that crawled up Ted's cheeks. "You must have been very fast since you were clothed after you....transformed?" Kerrigan said, the end sounding like a question. But off course he must be fast at dressing, and it explained why he was outside with nothing but shaggy shorts. Kerrigan was feeling a little chilled in this weather, and she was fully clothed. But... shouldn't he be cold? Yeah, it was quite convenient wearing as little as possible if you transformed into something ten times larger, but wasn't he freezing?
"Aren't you cold?" Kerrigan asked, eying his exposed skin, not even spotting any goosebumps. "I'm assuming it's about forty degrees out here." She continued, her brows pulled together in confusion.

Ted let out a small laugh. "Er yes...I suppose I have very fast reflexes." He laughed looking around. "Oh the weather doesn't mean much to me nowadays. I run a...high temperature." Ted said as his light laughter continued.
