She could see he didn't really want to talk about it, so she didn't press the matter even though she was slightly curious. "I was slightly surprised when I first got here. Everything green just like where I from in China. But trees are so different! And no tigers! It was so strange."

Mauggy grinned at him and chuckled faintly. "No tigers, but there are many wolves to go around. I was surprised when I first got here because they surrounded me so quickly." She then darkened a little in surprise of his compliment again. "It very beautiful. I grew up on a farm, the side of the hill I lived on was layered like steps and we grew rice. It was nearly the middle of the jungle but so pretty."
