A not so quiet afternoon

[Celestial]

She ignored Ted, keeping her attention on Sam. "Very well then." she said, taking a deep breath and re-crossing her arms in front of herself. "I would just be on high alert in-case they start crossing over onto your territory." she said as she pinched the bridge of her nose. "Thank you for your hospitality, and I would appreciate it if you would allow me to stay on your lands for a few days, to rest and and eat, you get the point. I will stay far away from town, if that is what you wish." she said. "And I apologize for any dis-respect." she said between her teeth, as if it caused her physical pain just by saying a simple sorry.

[Kerrigan]

Kerrigan elbowed Ted in the side when he continued to speak, trying as much as she could to hold back the smile that threatened to appear. She had heard what Sam had said, and she didn't want Ted to get into anymore trouble, no matter how much she enjoyed his cat comments. "Shut up, unless you want both of them to take a snap at you!" she whispered, seeing the glare Sam was sending his way.

"I would not mind at all. I can speak with Emily, if you would like a place to stay whilst you are here. The reservation is vampire free." He said, his eyes glancing at the fire, "Save for that one. And you caused no disrespect. I can assure you things like that happen all the time while dealing with teenaged boys." Sam said with another glare tossed towards Ted.

He was biting his lip to stop from laughing and he could see Quil and Embry in equal situations. He grinned down at Kerrigan as she elbowed him, he just felt a little tickle and he hoped she didn't hurt herself but she didn't look like she hurt. He couldn't help the chuckle slash snort that escaped his throat at her comment and he clapped a hand over his mouth giving her a playful glare.

"Then you be quiet too, human." He said around his hand.

Ebony shot a glare at the three other wolves before looking back to Ted. "I would appreciate that very much, but I hope you don't mind if I show up as a panther. It's uncomfortable in this form." she said, fidgeting.

[Kerrigan]

Kerrigan narrowed her eyes at Ted, smacking him on the arm that stung her hand. "I said shut up!" she said in a loud whisper. "And this human has a name, He Who Has Four Stomachs!" she said, smirking. Then she spoke louder. "Or do you prefer Teddy Bear?" She made sure that everyone heard her.

Sam nodded. "That will be fine, just follow behind me if you don't mind. Quil, Embry, get back to running the boundary." Sam ordered, then he turned back to Ted. "We will be talking later. Just the two of us." He said, giving Ted a hard glare, he nodded his head, his smile and hand sliding from his face in the same instant.

"Yes." Ted said with a nod. Quil and Embry sauntered off into the woods. Sam nodded back to Ebony and he walked into the woods then, returning to his form, after he secured his shorts to the string on his leg. "She Who Runs With Wolves is getting me into trouble." Ted pouted for a minute before he laughed. "But it was totally worth it."

Ebony nodded to Sam, and ran into the forest, removing the clothes and dropping them onto the ground. She didn't waste any time as her frame shook and fur burst from her body, covering her new cat body with a black pelt. She stretched her limbs and a purr rumbled in her throat as she shook out her fur, and then picked up the clothes and followed Sam.

Kerrigan rolled her eyes and turned around back to her things once everyone had left, leaving her alone with Ted once again. "You know that you just made everything worse by responding," she grumbled, flopping back down onto her towel with a sigh.

Sam led her through the trees quickly to the small house he shared with Emily. She was currently sitting outside and he slowed down as she came into view. She looked up once she heard him and smiled, the scarred side of her face stayed in a scowl. Sam wagged his tail for a fraction of a second and then jumped behind the bushes and emerged in his shorts. Emily stood from the chair and walked across the yard and whispered the story in her ear. Her eyes lit up and then searched the trees for the girl.

Ted rolled his eyes. "It won't be so bad. Just a bit of the third degree and then he might, I dunno, throw me off a cliff. But it won't be so bad because like I said, it was totally worth it." He grinned reclining back onto the towel looking up at the sky.

[Celestial]

She followed the alpha through the trees, swerving around some now and then. As they came to a small house in the woods, she stopped before she left the safety of the trees. She watched as Sam talked with her, and by the way her looked at her, she could tell that this woman with the scared face was his other.

As the woman, or who Sam had called Emily, swept the trees with her eyes, Ebony decided to present herself.

She emerged from the trees, her tail twitching behind her as she stalked up to the couple, and dropped the clothes at the womans feet. She kept her mouth open as she tasted the air around her. As she sat down, a rumbling purr sounding noise rumbled from her open mouth.

[Kerrigan]

Kerrigan laughed, putting her shirt on over her bathing suit. "Just throw you off a cliff? That doesn't sound like it would hurt at all." she mused. It was very weird, almost being killed by vampires, and a potentially dangerous shape shifter, and they just laid down and started cracking jokes. She could tell that they together were an odd pair, not including the fact that one could turn into a giant wolf.

Emily smiled at the panther, her eyes alight with wonder. "Are you hungry? I just got done making dinner for Sam and the boys, and you are welcome to join us, there is plenty to go around." She said with a smile, picking up the dress she folded in her hands.

Ted rolled his eyes again. "Of course it wouldn't hurt... Ok well that depends if its over water or not I suppose. But there is no way he is that mad at me." Ted grinned, "But you on the other hand..." He trailed off, hoping his expression was worried he was too busy trying to keep his smile under wraps. "And don't you forget, I haven't forgiven you for that Teddy Bear comment." He said pointing a finger at her.

[Celestial]

Ebony was puzzled for a moment. She was actually asking a stranger to stay for dinner. She wasn't sure what she wanted to do. She was starving, and she had been limited to food while she traveled, but staying meant that she had to change back into her uncomfortable human form, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to do that, either. Finally, she decided that she should be polite and accept her offer, so she looked at the dress in her hands, and back up to her again, blowing air out of her nose in a sigh.

[Kerrigan]

Kerrigan rolled her eyes, and then stuck out her lower lip, playing along with his charade. "What's so wrong with Teddy Bear?" she asked, her lips quivering as she blinked her eyes, making it seem like she was trying to stop tears in their tracks. "Do you like Theodore better?" she asked, still looking like a ten year old that had lost her favorite puppy.

Emily smiled as the panther took the dress back and she waited with her hand linked with Sam's.


Ted rolled his eyes again at her. "Only my mother has the rights to call me that. And only in private. And no, Theodore is no better." He said pursing his lips for a moment before he continued. "He Who Has Four Stomachs is just fine with me, and so it Ted. Anything else and your asking for it." He said holding his hands up in an old timey boxer's stance with his fists in front of him.
