It was warm and dark, the perfect night to go hunting in the forest. 'many animals will be out tonight.' Saphre' thought to herself. As she sniffed the air searching for her prey, she found a pack of elks near by a river. 'Eww elk.' she thought to herself in disgusted voice. 'better than nothing...I gess' as saphre' stalked her pray, she thought of her newborn year. Back then she would not opposed to drinking elk blood..blood was blood.. Saphre' chuckled at the thought, but suddenly stopped because she realized the group of elks heard her... Trying to catch up with her meal she came a cross another scent that was quite more appealing than elk. It wasn't the sent of a human but a another animal a deer, a buck to be exact. 'better.' she thought to herself. she changed direction and head for the buck, as soon as her meal was in sight she leaped on to the buck and sank her teeth into it's neck. The blood going down her throat felt nice. As she finished her meal she straitened her body and sat down on a rock. "I wonder if I'm ever going to find the meaning of this life?" she asked herself.

Jace went for a walk in the woods. Still trying to kind of get used to the Cullen lifestyle. He pretty much was used to both animal and human blood but he had to get used to animal. He smelled some elks and he also smell another vampire. It was strange that another vampire was out and about. He could also smell the la push pack. He knew they would be doing rounds tonight. Roxy told him. She was a strange one. A wolf who thought she imprinted when it was a small crush. He headed toward the smell of fresh blood and saw the dead deer. He also smell the vampire close.

As saphre' wondered in the woods, she suddenly caught the sent of another vampire. This scent was was not a a day old. Saphre' was suddenly on guard. ' I wonder who could it be?' 'whoever it may be, they might not be friendly, so I should probably stay a far distance.' saphre' thought to herself as she continued to wonder in the dark woods. A thought suddenly struck her ' what if they are friendly.' The two thought collided with each other, until her curiosity overpowered her instincts. Saphre' turned quickly around and follow the scent.

Jace followed the scent of the vampire. As he got closer to it he could distinctly tell that it was a female, but a female he has never met. Hopefully the La Push wolves don't find her before he does. He liked Roxy, she was a nice girl but not his type. He thought about how crazy she was. He wasn't paying attention until he saw the light glow of topaz reflecting from the moon.

Saphre' suddenly came to a stop, as she stared at the young male vampire.' I hope I didn't make a mistake about this.' she thought to herself as she cautiously approached the vampire. "Lovely night for a hunt, isn't it." she said in a whisper..."what exactly are u hunting, if I may ask?" she said a little louder this time.

"It is a lovely night for a hunt" Jace said, "I'm hunting animals. It's part of my diet. In order to live here I have to do that because if I attack a human I would be dead." He said giving the girl a soft smile. Maybe she didn't smell the La Push pack like he did. "So what brings you near Forks" JAce asked her.

Saphre' looked at the boy from head to toe, before answering. "I'm out here because, I rather feed on the blood of animals than be the monster I really am and feed on human blood." She said taking a step toward the vampire. "The vampires I am usually around think I'm a little strange, so I'm not used to seeing other vampire hunting animals like me." Saphre' said with curiosity in her voice. 'He seem like he is nice, but I can't let my guard down.' She thought to herself. Saphre took another curious step toward the young male . "What did u mean by if you fed on a human you would be dead." She asked curiously.

"You don't smell that wet dog smell" Jace asked the girl. "Oh and around here the vampires would love you" he added. "i'm sorry I'm so rude, my name is Jace." He looked at the girl with a smile. He could tell she was being very cautious.

"Oh..my name is Saphre'." Saphre' said as she stared at the vampire's smile."I do smell the dog scent that you are talking about,but we are in the woods and there is a likely chance that wild dogs do live here." She said . Saphre' was curious about why the vampire named Jace had asked that question."Why do you ask, anyway?" she ask. Another question that was nagging her, was the thought of other vampires that would like her. Was it because they fed on the blood of animals, instead of human blood. before she ask she would wait for Jace to answer her question because something about him ,made her curious.

"It because they aren't dogs, they are shapeshifters that turn into wolves" Jace replied. "They are the only wild dog smell around here and they smell different then the real wolves and are bigger too" Jace said. he stopped and he could smell Roxy near them. She liked protecting him weather or not she liked him. Soon the smell went away. "If they smell a vampire they are not used to they come and check things out. By the way what a pretty name" Jace told.

Saphre' smiled at the complement. "Thank you, you have a nice name and smile too." she said also complementing Jace. " You don't have to worry about me, I don't think that wolves, dogs, or whatever they are could do anything to me, but I am interested to meet them." The thought of meeting other creatures other than humans and vampires made her even more curious than before about Jace and his friends. "Are you friends of the wolves?"

"Some of them yes. The Cullen's get many visitors of the La Push pack. Some of the vampires are friends or would be a mates of the wolves" Jace replied. "thank you" he said to the compliment. He still smelt them near so he called to Roxy, "Roxy come here someone wants to meet one of you."
Roxy heard Jace calling so she walked over to him. There was another vampire standing there. She let a low growl. Letting the vampire know who was in charge. She was one of Jace's friends and she didnt want him hurt.

"I'm guessing that this wolf is part of the La Push pack." Saphre' said looking at the large wolf. "Who are the Cullens?, are they the other vampires you were talking about." She said, still looking with at the wolf amazement .

"Yes they are, and yes she is" Jace replied answering the questions. "Roxy are you going to change into your human form for Saphre" jace asked Roxy.
Roxy looked at Jace and growled again. Saying she will not change in front of a vampire. She kept looking at her. Even though the eyes were topaz like the Cullen's and Jace's she never knew if that vampire was a new born like Bella. She kept her guard up.

"I don't think she likes me very much." Saphre said as she observed Roxy's behavior." I wonder if it is because I scare her or, if its because she is protective of you and is scared that I might hurt you." Saphre' said to Jace. 'Maybe I should tell her that it is okay.' Saphre thought to herself. *Roxy, if you are afraid that I might hurt Jace, it is unnecessary. I am a very controlled, and friendly person.* Saphre said to Roxy though her mind (her gift she brought to this world.)
