Esme's brow furrowed and she bit her lip, looking back and forth from the two. "Let's not argue, now," she said calmly, hoping to stop the feud. "I'm sure what's bothering him has nothing to do with you, Suzy, dear." Esme said.

Edward smiled softly to his mother. "It's a good day."
He listened to Suzy and Andre, a frown marring his features and tried not to pry mentally.
He looked to Carlisle with concern.
Carlisle moved to rest a hand on Esme's shoulder and looked to the two younger vampires.
"Esme's right. Emotions are high at the moment so why don't we all just take a couple of deep breaths and start again shall we?"
He looked to Suzy.
"You said something about the King of the forest?"

Esme smiled at her son. She could hardly believe how happy he had been lately. Ever since he met Bella, he has changed into the cheerful, smiling, laughing son she had always wanted him to be.
She was glad Bella came into the family. She had brightened up the lives of everyone. Even Rosalie, but she would never dare to admit it.
But that wasn't the only reason she loved Bella. It was also because of the caring, kind, and loving personality that wonderful woman held. Of course, Esme would have approved even if she weren't all of those lovely things, just because she made her son happy, but it was all a wonderful plus in their lives. And now she was proud to call her her daughter.
As Suzy fell to the floor, Esme reached out in concern. She stood her ground though, because soon Suzy stood back up.
Esme looked to Carlisle and then Edward. Edward? What just happened.
